My Epic First World MasterCard Fashion Week Experience

Hey everyone! So today was one hell of an amazing day, I made really good new friends, went to the Press and Buyers Brunch, the Krane by Ken Chow FW15 studio show, and the Claudette by Claudette Floyd Runway show. Also being with the team from Novella Magazine just made my week the best! Shoutout to Novella Mag and my gorgeous friend Lilia. On day two of fashion week I couldn’t get my groove on, it was too new a thing for me and some people were kind of blah. But today, I totally let my guard down, had a total blast. Even took a selfie with famous bloggers? Well Alexander Liang of Kenton Magazine and Justine Iaboni from JetsetJustine! But a few tragedies happened along the way, I forgot to refill my business cards so I looked a little bit …. dumb…(especially for an accounting major) when people asked me for it. But luckily I got theirs, and I will be following up with them later on tomorrow! But overall it was an amazing experience, and I can’t wait to be there next year! (Hopefully front-row for all the shows next time). Above is a picture of myself with Ken Chow behind the scene for his FW15 show (Krane).http://instagram.com/p/lw7TSFPzJb/

Here’s a close up of what I wore; Blazer: Mexx, Shirt: Sondergaard from Hudson’s Bay, Orange Cashmere Scarf: Gifted by Antonio Mac Italy), Tie: RW&CO, Pen: Mont Blanc.
Here’s our Oscar Selfie re-make with Alexander Kenton, Kenton Magazine and Justine Iaboni, JetsetJustine.com.
This a pic of me and my main girl Lilia of Novella Magazine! I love how we are matching :).
The finale to the Claudette by Claudette Floyd show:
Myself behind the scene’s! Here’s a look of the Krane FW15 collection!.
Not going to lie but I had stiff style competition and these guys definitely beat me!
And lastly some over the top street style, which I love!~

Rock Florals!

Image

1. Blazer: Kolor $915, 2. Shorts: Sacai $535, 3. Shirt: Joe Fresh $29,
4. Tie: Ted Baker $99, 5. MSGM $131, 6. Bag Givenchy $1125

This up and coming Spring & Summer, floral prints have revived and evolved. They are available for all prices and can be worn as apparel as well as accessories. To pull of the trend there are a few rules:
1. Don’t go crazy, in other words, have a piece or two to accent your outfit.
2. Like most patterned items, they work best if you pull out the color that is least used in the print for a neutralizer. Such as wearing white shorts with that Floral Joe Fresh shirt shown above, or pink with the Givenchy bag…
3. Start off with a floral shirt or tie, as they can actually last longer than a few seasons, than invest once you are comfortable.

RUNWAY REVIEWS

Every body loves to see a good collection that you can actually find something you like or an inspiration from. Instead of the typical reviews that you read with bloggers talking about how each collection is so great, I want to actually express an honest opinion on shows from different designers and even some new ones.
Coming up are some fashion reviews of the most popular shows featuring: Alexander McQueen, Ermengildo Zegna, 3.1 Phillip Lim + More…

Versace Versace Versace…. wait! Would you even wear these looks?

Being of the biggest and most recognized fashion brands in the world. Versace knows how to put together a show worth watching. But for most men – I don’t think they’d be caught dead in these styles if it wasn’t for the label. Of course the point of a show is to produce trends, but when you here rappers rap about versace versace versace … yes…. that really irritating drake song. You would think that they too would wear these outrageous pieces not just the plain suits.
Regardless, for myself, I actually do really like these looks and would wear some the suits (probably not that coat).
Let me know what your thoughts are!
